April

A big change occured in our home as we switched from Comcast to Dish AND got rid of our home phone.  This is big news for us, as we've only ever had comcast.  It's been a great change.  There are so many advantages with Dish. I'm just sad we didn't make the change sooner.
An older lady I visit teach wanted to dejunk after becoming a widow and in realizing she wouldn't be cooking much anymore, wanted to get rid of all her canned goods.  Happily I was the recipient of much that she was getting rid of. On April Fools day, Lindsey played a great prank on us.  She hid empty bottles of vodka and whiskey under Cam's bed- trying to get us to think they were his.  Luckily for him, we didn't fall for it, but instead enjoyed a good laugh over it.  Cam was in St. George with his friends for spring break which fell over April Fools day, so here was our conversation through text:  Me- Look what I found under your bed.  You'd better have a good explanation for this (sent him a pic of the bottles).  Cam- Me and my friends like to party on the weekend.  Me-  That's not funny mister.  You have some explaining to do.  Cam- Mom, I'm gay. Hahaha  I thought that was pretty funny.  This picture on the bottom right is the pan of "brownies" I made for Mike.
Cam had a great week in St. George with his friends Parker, Chase, Tyson and Jeffrey.  Mike and I enjoyed having him gone ONLY because we could eat light and healthy foods with plenty of vegetables in them :)
One day during spring break I did a little grandma shopping (bottom left pic).  Some stuff is to have for me at home, and some stuff is to give to baby Hatch.  My favorite day of Spring break was when I stayed in bed until 3 pm reading an entire book.  It was something I've always wanted to do, so I indulged myself- and it was awesome!  That is an awesome book too. I highly recommend it.  It's the second in a series and I adored all three books.
Kylee came for a 4 day vacation the weekend after spring break so that me, Jess and Lindsey could give her a baby shower.  She brought her friend Chelsea and her baby Miles with her so she wouldn't have to drive alone (and then they took Ky's car to SLC to spend the weekend with family). Brody had been in Africa for work and was flying into SLC on Sunday so he could drive home with them (and spend a whole 24 hours in Logan).  We had such a great weekend.  Friday night Mom, all the sisters and Gary had dinner at the Skeens so we could meet and get to know Carol's new BOYFRIEND.  Yes, you heard right- Carol has a boyfriend!  It has been so exciting to watch their romance.  Who knows, he may soon be more than her boyfriend... His name is Robert Whitely and he's from Oakley Idaho.  They got set up by Cam Smith.  He's a great guy and they're so cute together!  While we were in Paradise, Kylee, Jess and the cousins were having a fun get-together at our house. It was so fun that the Romneys and Densleys came to town for the shower.  They all had a fun evening eating outside, playing catch phrase and talking.
The next day we had Ky's shower at the Bundy's.  Lindsey was her amazing creative self and did a bang up job on decorations.  I mean- really. Look at the place.  A-maz-ing.  Ok, Ok, the food was pretty amazing too... :) I made orange rolls, granola for the yogurt parfaits, and sugar cookies. I was very pleased with the great turnout we got and was happy Ky got so many neat things for the babe.  I'm so grateful to everyone who came.

I can't believe Cam is the "little" brother to the girls!  On Sunday we had dinner at the Weyerts and then played games at home.  It was a great weekend and I'm so glad the Hatch's could come.
We had Jess to ourselves on Easter Sunday since Brad had already left for Texas for the summer.  We were coincidentally matching for church!  I loved it. We went to the Skeens for dinner and fun and games. They had just gotten 4 day old lambs that we had fun feeding and holding.
