April happenings

For the past several years I've had a lot of fun on April Fool's day playing some creative pranks on the family.  This was the year for revenge.  The boys rigged up the faucet in the kitchen to completely soak me when I turned it on first thing in the morning.  Then, when I came out of work, this is what my car looked like. . . as much as I love BYU, I was completely embarrassed to drive home in it- especially living in Aggie country with BYU haters on every corner.  Good job Jake and Cam!  You got me!
We love conference weekend.  It's so nice to just stay at home and watch church on TV and be inspired by all the wonderful talks.  After the Sunday afternoon session ended, some teenager who was right by the camera turned around and pulled a face that is so like the one Jake is always making.  And the kid even looked like Jake.  Me, Mike and the boys had so much fun for the next half hour rewinding it, and having Jake imitate what the kid was doing.  It was hilarious.
Lindsey went to Las Vegas with Emma and Ann for 3 1/2 days, and we had the fun chance to watch Lydia while they were gone.  She's such a doll, and we were all so entertained by her.  She was VERY easy to take care of, and we were so happy to help out.
The day we took her back to Ogden, we stopped by the Salomon Center and the kids all spent a fun hour at the flowrider.  It's become our spring break tradition.  This was Brad's first time, and he did great!
We've been enduring some freezing weather this spring, with spring break being no exception.  We are definitely ready for some warm weather.  This picture was taken on Wednesday, before it snowed another several inches yesterday and today. . . what can you do but be patient knowing warm weather is not too far away?

That's so weird about the boy on TV that looked like Jake!! And even more weird that he was on TV at all.. you'd think the church would be pretty strict with who has access to their cameras. I love that you do pranks every year for April fools and that the boys got you back this year!! You didn't start doing that till more recently right? I don't remember living at home during any of your pranks. Maybe I'll just have to re-create them myself someday! I hope it warms up for you guys too... we've been having great weather here!

Ya what is with all of this snow. I do NOT appreciate it one bit. The flow rider was so much fun. That picture of Jake cracks me up. It's too bad you didn't get Brad's on the video. We want to come watch those soon. :) Lydia is so cute. The boys did do a good job at pranking you. I'm afraid for my revenge next year.

Ok I wondered what tech trick you did to get Jakes pic on the TV.. Sorry about the snow. BTW I saw your comment on my blog and I need to figure out the whole comment thing. I did have lots of pics and now I think I can start with this year. I'm slow but am dedicated to doing it.

I love what your boys did to your car. Funny and brave of them to get you back. Now it's your turn :)
Jake's face is the best. I got a good laugh from that one. April snow is the WORST.

That April Fool's joke is possibly the best ever!! So funny that Mike wouldn't even drive that car. The Flow Rider, good for you guys for keeping it up. My neck was SO sore, I doubt I ever try it again. Thanks for keeping Lydia, I had the best time without her. She sure loves her new little book :)
